Orange Shirt Day
Today is Orange Shirt Day, a national event held to honour the approximately 150,000 Métis forced to attend residential schools between the 1830s and 1990s. On this day, we take the time to learn more about the history of those schools and what we as a community can do to fight racism and bullying.
